Follow the bouncing ball

Remember those little sing-along cartoons we watched as kids that you followed the bouncing ball so you'd know the lyrics to the songs? I still can't spell Mississippi without singing that song.

Why couldn't they make a song for Albuquerque?

I'm writing a story about the city and cannot spell its name to save my life. Cut and paste, baby.

  1. You and me both. 40 some years later I still find myself singing "it used to be so hard to spell, it used to make me cry. But since I've studied spelling its just like apple pie. Oh...

Can you buy those cartoons anywhere?

  2. I bet you can find them on Ebay or Amazon.com. I was shocked to see Sigmund and the SeaMonsters on Amazon. So, I imagine they have it all available now.

  3. Yes, we were young kids living in the Philippines and I fully remember those cartoons. I loved the one with MISSISSIPPI because like you, that is how I remember to spell it. I wish there was some way they could bring them back as a DVD collection or something.

  4. They do have these on DVD. The creator is from the University of North Texas - in the town where I live. How cool is that?
