A strange anniversary
It was a year ago today that my mom suffered a stroke.
Thankfully, she has come a LONG way since there. She is recovered as far as speech and being pretty much back to normal except that she doesn't have the strength and stamina she once had. I can live with that. I'm just glad to have my mom around.

I celebrate "strange" anniversaries like that all the time with my daughter (she has special needs.) You go through so many emotions, and such a "living hell" when worried about a loved one with medical issues - it is strangely refreshing to look back a year or two later, and see how far you all have come!
Lovely photo! Hope you have many more "strange" anniversaries to come! Your Mom looks great!

I'm so glad she made it though and is still able to enjoy life and her grandchildren.
