So this is how liberty dies ... with thunderous applause.

I'm an aunt

I was hoping to have a sweet newborn baby girl picture to post, but alas, not yet. Sweet new baby girl. I love new baby smell. So clean, so sweet. Wish I could be there to hold her.

Dad passed out during the birth. He passed out, too, when at his son's bris. I guess that might make any man a little woozy - seeing your son's manhood messed with in front of the world. I suppose when he recovers adequately, he'll email me some pictures and I'll share them.

Last baby born that I know, the grandma gave out a password to the hospital nursery website and we got to see some real nice pictures.
When youngest son was getting his bris, I went down the hall and was looking through the window. The nurse pointed me out to the doctor and he motioned me away. He said he was nervous enough for both of us, he didn't need me to be watching. That didn't exactly instill confidence, but since this was third son, we did alright.
Also reminds me of an episode of MASH when a Korean woman was walking around with a baby and holding him out and saying "Bris" Finally, Hawkeye found a note tucked into the baby's blanket written in English by the baby daddy/American soldier. He wanted the son to have the "Bris" performed, and the Catholic chaplain spoke the ceremonial words.
I sure miss that show. Reruns come too late at night.

I loved MASH, too. What a great show.

I wouldn't want the world watching my baby's circumcision, personally. Just me. ;)
