So this is how liberty dies ... with thunderous applause.

Note to self

Never call specialty coffees "frou frou" to a Seattle restauranteur.

*giggling*

While working on a story this afternoon, I asked this guy if they served frou-frou coffee at his cafe and he said "We are in Seattle. Of course we serve a wide variety of coffees. What can I call frou-frou that you do in Dallas?"

By this time, I was in stitches and laughing outloud in what my denstist calls a "contagious laugh." I told the owner that he could make fun of my cowboy boots if he wanted to. I deserved it.

Now I want a cafe mocha. Dammit.

Seattle is FULL of frou-frou coffees, and if the guy wasn't willing to admit it, wellhe's got some issues.

Can you tell us who it was, so I can go there and ask for a frou frou coffee after dinner? :)

Oh the guy was laughing when he said it and he wasn't offended, was just funny the way it all was said.

It was at a garden center which just opened a cafe. Molbak's Garden Center at 13625 NE 175th St. in Woodinville. This was the owner of the garden center that I talked to. I think the name of the cafe is the Lowell-Hunt Cafe at Molbak's or something like that. Enjoy. I will have to send you my story when I'm done with it. It is all about the Christmas stores at garden centers in Seattle. I think it would be fun to spend a weekend just going to see the displays, etc.

Oh, I TOTALLY want that story! Mom is a Christmas freak and mom-in-law is a garden freak, so that could make for a very fun outing for the girls.

Sounds like a good story for you then. I'll make sure and email it to you.
