Stuff Portrait Spooky Friday

Ok, so mine isn't so spooky.

This week is SPOOOOOOO-KAY!
1. Your Spooky Decorations
2. Your Costumes
3. Your Spooky Neighborhood

My decorations are never spooky, but here they are:

I particularly like the aloe vera growing in her cauldron.

My pumpkins dressed up this year, too. We have the pirate, Woody the cowboy, a wizard and a KHS Bubba in the background (hat look famliar LaLa?). We'll probably carve them this weekend. I scored some Wallace and Grommit templates at the comic con that we'll probably use this year.

Costumes, you've seen. But, here they are again.

My mom as a witch is just classic. I think I may wear the costume for trick or treating. I can make a few slits here and there to play Elvira for Army of Dad later for his "trick or treat." Last year, Pickle was Yugioh and Hot Rod was Randy Moss. That still makes me laugh.

I had no pics of our spooky neighborhood. I suppose I could take pics of the little hoodlums down the street who wrote FUCK in chalk in my driveway or the unsupervised children who skateboard down people's driveways and into the street. Or the child molester that lives around the corner. THAT is spooky in my opinion.

Halloween will be fun this year.

Your witch is great. There is one down the road from me, made from corn husks. She's lovely and I hope to make one myself one day.

I played to....but not nearly as well as everyone else.

Yeah, the scariest thing in my neighborhood is the people across the street's yard - they cut down about half their tree branches about a month ago and just left them in the front yard in a pile (hoping someone will pick them up for them?).

    Love your witch.

I love the dressed-up pumpkins! So much easier than actually carving them. I may steal your idea...

AoM, where do you get the Starfleet uniforms?

For the longest time, I have wanted to get a red one so I could be Riker for Halloween. Instead, I usually put on a flannel shirt and jeans and go as Al from Home Improvement.

He doesn't have the same rights I have. I don't have to report where I live to the local police.

Besides he doesn't have the right to decorate his house and turn on his front porch light like he is going to give out candy. He has given out candy in years past too. Not to our children of course, but we saw people go up there and appear to get candy from him about 2-3 years ago.

Yep, I agree. When someone does something that awful to a poor child, they lose any rights. I like the idea of having them ALL corraled(sp)together for holidays like this involving children!! (SICK BASTARDS)

Astrosmith - I actually found this costume at a thrift store for $5.95 or $4.95, I can't remember. But, if you google Star Trek costume or uniform (can't remember which it was) you'll get a few costume stores and the adult versions sell for about $40 to $50.

And regarding the child molester, I don't harass him, I just don't go to his house for trick or treat. And, as far as rights go, I have a right to tell people he lives there. He has to register with the police and I think the state as a convicted sex offender. I reported him, too, when he put on his lights and handed out candy. That is against his probation, I'm sure.

    About the child molesters/sex offenders...

Up here in the Denver area, they seem to be really behind the times when it comes to crime. Maybe it's just because the crime hasn't evolved as far as it has down in Texas. Many people just let their kids run around in the neighborhood, not watching them at all, leaving doors unlocked and such. Plus, to find out if there's one of these freaks living near you, you have to go down to the sheriff's office. So far, they don't have an online list you can access like Texas does. I think they're working on this though, and will eventually catch up. I just wish more people would take more caution with their family's security.
