So this is how liberty dies ... with thunderous applause.

Hey libs, looky here!

Hmm, looks like there may be some crow-eating going on after ABC Nightline story tonight shows "secret audiotapes of Saddam Hussein discussing ways to attack America with weapons of mass destruction ... The tapes are being called the "smoking gun" of weapons of mass destruction (WMD) in Iraq. The New York Sun reported that the tapes have been authenticated and currently are being reviewed by the U.S. House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence."

The silence is deafening, isn't it?

What we may hear back from the left is undue emphasis on Saddam's mid-'90s disclaimer on the tape that the terrorist attack "wouldn't come directly from Iraq." But that's never what he was all about; he preferred to provide the tools to have others do his dirty work.

The world is immensely better off with that man in chains. It will be even better off with him at the end of a noose. And Bush will be thanked by the history books for having the fortitude to do what had to be done.

Yeah, it is amazing at how no one is talking about this. And, I do believe that history will show this is a good move.

I'm sure the MSM will try to spin it into something else, as usual. And frankly, I hope they try. Just as with Howard Dean, I wait in anticipation for the next time they open their mouths to show their bias or ignorance. They can't simply report the news anymore. The old definition of journalism sadly died decades ago.

And more and more Americans seem to be catching on to it. Thank goodness for the blogosphere and talk radio, eh?
