Sometimes I feel like a train wreck. This week, I have been so exhausted and I hadn't been able to put my finger on why I was so tired. Then, a few days ago, my left breast ached and ached. I called the doctor today and was assured it was likely too much caffeine and post-PMS soreness.

Then, I took my bra tonight to get in the bathtub and thought I was going to die. It hurt so bad. I felt like my boob had turned into a 12-pound bowling ball that was dropped while still attached to my chest. I looked in the bathroom mirror and saw the outline of a red circle on my breast. Aha. I recognize that. I have a breast infection. I haven't had one of those since I was nursing. Stinkerbelle, my baby, is 3 1/2 now.

I called the doctor and was given some advice to relieve the pain and told to go to the doctor's office tomorrow. Yippee. I'll squeeze that into my overflowing calendar:

8:45-9 a.m. Drop kids off at Vacation Bible School
9:15 a.m. Pick up Pickle from his dad
9:30 am. Drop off carseat and diaper bag at friend's house, so she can pick up kids from VBS
Head to Fort Worth to pick up my mom and go to the endocrinologist's office
10:30 am. Pay my $35 copay and proceed to wait and wait and wait
Wait some more
?? p.m. Go eat lunch, take my mom back to my dad
?? p.m. Go to the doctor, get poked and prodded. Pay another $35 and get Rx to pay more $

Before 6 p.m. Drop off AoD's car at shop, pick up rental car
7 p.m. VBS presentation at church

Calgon take me away!
