It's all in who you know

We just found out tonight that one of our baseball players made the All-Star team. I know I should be very proud of this boy, but he isn't our best player. Actually, he is our third-best player and the top two didn't make it. While talking to his mom tonight, I found out that the All-Star coach is the child's youth pastor at church.

Just goes to show that it isn't how well you play, it is who you know. Politics start as early as little league baseball. Who knew?
