Army of Mom

So this is how liberty dies ... with thunderous applause.

A Marriage With a Sense of Humor

On Thursday, Army of Dad and I mark 10 years of wedded bliss (mostly). Lately, we haven't gotten gifts for each other as we're trying to pay the bills down and make improvements to home and life. Well, some paychecks (finally) came in and we treated ourselves to buy each other anniversary gifts.

We had this verbal exchange last night in bed:

AoM: So, where did you hide my gift?
AoD: I'm not going to tell you, so you can go snoop.
AoM: Well, I want to make sure I don't stumble across it accidentally.
AoD: I'll just put it at the bottom of the sink under the dishes, that way you'll never find it. *laughing maniacally*

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, that is how you can tell we've been married for 10 years.

*shaking my head*

Does AoD like sleeping on the couch?

Well, that would go a long ways towards explaining the condition of the denim couch covers...

Wait 'till you are going on your 3rd decade of bliss. The jokes calm back down simply because it takes too much effort to make up the couch. ;-)

Although, you were kind of leaving yourself wide open for some kind of a zinger. You need to learn to keep your gloves up ;-)

I can take a joke, Rockhauler. Plus, *blushing* I do let the kitchen get pretty bad b/c I hate that chore the most of all. In my defense, I spent most of Friday and Saturday scouring the whole house. It has just stacked up since cooking the Easter lunch. Hmm, guess that adds up to three or four days. Ewww. I am nasty.

And, Subby - ppppttthhppphtpptpttt!!!! Bite me.

Gadfly - I walk right into these things regularly. It is a sad effect of being married to a clever man.

And, Lala, I will most definitely let you know.

I didn't have to sleep on the couch and well I won't say what took place after the joke, but it wasn't a bad thing!

He certainly made up for the remark.

    " ppppttthhppphtpptpttt!!!! "
