Definitely awful about the fiance washing away. But read closely. He was 43, she was 22 and had just flown in the day before from the Philipines...
Something smells fishy in that story to me.

I figured she was going to be the poor man's mail order bride. But, if she was cute and not bratty, I can't see him shoving her out to sea. It could have happened, but who knows?
