Two games to go

Pickle's team is two games away from the end of the season and we beat the second place team tonight. No, wait, we SPANKED the second place team tonight 6-0 firmly cementing our first place standings.

The best part is that my son - the child who has never really cared how much playing time he has gotten or how well he played - actually wept because he didn't score a goal. Now, that doesn't sound right and let me explain. It warms my heart that he FINALLY gives a shit about winning and doing well. We stress that it is about learning teamwork and helping one another, good sportsmanship as well as how much fun it can be to work really hard and succeed. He is trying and caring and that just makes me so pleased. I think some of it is the success he is having in school, too.

Makes me very proud.

I am not sure how the standings work, it is sort of like the BCS crap to me. I can't figure it out to save my life. I just know that if we keep winning, we will win this division and head to the Tournament of Champions. They have worked so hard. They deserve it. These little boys are so dedicated to soccer and we have the best batch of parents yet, I think.

Way to go SuperSonics.

I feel silly getting all excited about a kids' team, but it is so much fun to watch these kids work so hard and succeed. Plus, AoD has invested a lot of time in these kids and it is good for him to be rewarded with them doing well, too. He's a good coach and our parents really like how he handles the kids.
