Staff questionnaire

Friday morning, I have to go to a big partnership meeting at the airport and evidently they embarrass new hires with a staff questionnaire as a get to know you kind of thing.

Here it is:
1. Where were you born? Fort Worth
2. Where did you spend your childhood? Fort Worth
3. Do you have any siblings? Yes, a brother 10 years older than me
4.Tell us something about your parents. They married almost 48 years ago after mom graduated from high school. My dad and grandpa built the house.
5. Do you have any memorable moment in elementary and high school? I was in the hospital with cancer while in the first and second grades. In high school, I was the newspaper editor for three years and voted Most Likely to Succeed and Most Likely to Stay Sober (I blew that one my second semester at college).
6. Did you participate in any high school sports or have any special accomplishments? Competed in state UIL competition for journalism contests, lettered in volleyball, played on a rec team that was fourth in Texas in fast-pitch softball.
7.Did you attend college? If so, where? Baylor University (Sic 'em bears!)
8. Where did you work and/or who did you work for before starting work at the airport? I was a stay at home mom doing freelance writing and public relations before joining DFW.
9. Are you married? If so, what is your spouse's name? Army of Dad, will be 7 years March 27.
10. Do you have any children? If so, how many and their names. Pickle, 10; Hot Rod, 5; Stinkerbelle 2
11. How do you like to spend your weekends? I spend my weekends on the soccer fields. Not sure any other way I'd like to spend them.
12. Do you have favorite hobbies or what do you do to relax? I like to make baby blankets, read, work in the garden.
13. What was your most memorable vacation? What was special about it? In 2000, Army of Dad and I went to Discovery Cove in Orlando and snorkeled and swam with dolphins.
14. Do you have any pets? If so, what kind and their names? Four, Army of Dad, Pickle, Hot Rod and Stinkerbelle
15. Do you have a career goal, or what would you like to do when you retire? When I retire, I'd like to live in a little country town and run the weekly newspaper.
16. What is your favorite cartoon character and why? I love the comic strip Baby Blues because it totally reminds me of my life.
17. When is your birthday? Nov. 7
