Scary stuff

We went to see War of the Worlds tonight and that was some scary stuff. Super scary stuff. Being a parent, I think, made it even more dramatic because I kept wondering what I'd do in Ray's shoes. It was a good movie. There were a few hokey parts that made my willing suspension of disbelief a little hard to swallow, but overall, a very good flick. I was on the edge of my seat most of the movie and scared to death for more than two-thirds of it. It is a survival flick, big time.

What would you DO to protect your family and survive? It is very engaging and made me think.

The kids LOVED the kids' night out at church tonight. All three had a blast and want to go back when they do it again next month. Where else can you get 3.5 hours of babysitting for three kids for $15 and they get a little Jesus time, too. Awesome in every sense. My next-door neighbor went with us to the movie. That was fun, too.

I'm going to treat myself to some pampering tomorrow: a haircut/style and pedicure. Should be nice. I think I deserve it.
