Army of Mom

So this is how liberty dies ... with thunderous applause.

An American hero

He was a great athlete and a handsome man. He was smart and he was patriotic. He walked away from big money playing professional football to become of the military's elite - an Army Ranger. Pat Tillman is a true American hero. He died defending the freedom that we love and to fight those who would like to see our way of life change.

Players on all 32 NFL teams will wear a No. 40 decal -- Tillman's Cardinals uniform number -- on their helmets during the games this weekend. The Cardinals, who will wear the decal all season, play their home opener today against the New England Patriots. Tillman also will be honored posthumously by a special halftime tribute that will recognize other Arizonans who have sacrificed their lives in the service of their country.

He was a true patriot and a hero. He will be sadly missed and always admired. Not many people would give up all he did to serve our country.
