Army of Mom

So this is how liberty dies ... with thunderous applause.

Dysfunctional memory

Something struck me and Army of Dad as funny last night during the Astros-Cardinals game. We were sitting there watching the game when Roger Cedeno reached first base.

"I have his autograph," I said to him.

"You can't find my referee assignments or your camera bag, but you remember that?" he replied.

And, for the record, I have two Cedeno autographs I got back in 1994 at a Midland Angels game. And, no, I still haven't found my camera bag. It's been missing since Little Bit's birthday party on Sunday.

Trust me...I understand!!! I can remember an unreal amount of historical facts, I can pull out a stunning amount of personal memories, I can recite sports stats with the best of them and, as many of you may know, I have photographic memory for music...a freakish ability actually...but I cannot remember to shave...I cannot remember to pay bills...I cannot remember to do pretty much everyday things...and by the way...I remember when you got the Cedeno autograph, you also got Todd Hollandsworth that day. I still have pics of Chan Ho Park from those minor league games.

Ha. I vividly remember that day. I also got another guy - think his name was Jay Kirkpatrick (but I'm not sure) - he was the dude who talked to his bat ... very weird.

Those were some fun days. I wish we had a minor league team here and not 30 minutes away.

I found both my camera bag (Saturday 10-23) and AoD's ref schedule today (Sun. 10-24).

    Woo hoo.
