Tsunami before and after pics
The pictures say it all.
These photos were released Dec. 30 by DigitalGlobe. They show the shoreline of Banda Aceh in Indonesia on June 23, 2004, above, and Dec. 28, 2004, below, after the tsunami. Wowsers! Hat tip to KR for sending this to me. This is that region where the entire newspaper staff vanished. Little wonder.

Bane, dude.
That is harsh.
I once covered a tornado in Jarrell, Texas, years ago that wiped out neighborhoods like that. Killed entire families, pulled the pavement off the roads. Can't imagine what this must be like.
