Piano Man

All together now (except AoD, Alli and Cashin, they're too young to remember):

*'Cuz we're all in the mood for a melody and you've got us feeling alright*

Army of Dad is so going to regret my birthday gift - a Hasting's gift card. I went today with full intent on buying the new U2 CD. Instead, I saw a display of greatest hits CDs and I fondled many from Tom Petty to Prince and Aerosmith (I didn't literally fondle those guys, *eww* the thought is a little sick*. I even groped Bon Jovi and Limp Bizkit *those guys, maybe*. But, I settled on one I've had my heart on for many years after my Baylor "little brother" so-called borrowed it and never returned it: Billy Joel.

Ah yes. There will be She's Always a Woman, It's Still Rock n Roll, Only the Good Die Young ... and many more going on in the Mom-Mobile for the days to come.

And, the mom-mobile was in full swing today. Only AoD could truly appreciate my downright giddiness and excitement at what I found at Target: 12-pack-packages of Kraft Mac n Cheese dinners for *sit down, you wont' believe it* $2.98 a piece!!!! Swear to God! I almost wet my pants I was so stoked. Hot Rod would eat mac n cheese every day three times a day if he could, so we are ALWAYS buying it and at 75 cents a box here, it can add up IMHO. But, this was so freaking cool. It is like 25 cents a box!!!! Rock on. I bought four packages and contemplated buying more and giving to the food bank. I may go back and do that. No Thanksgiving table is complete without mac n cheese next to the green bean casserole! I may have to get a picture of Hot Rod in pure joy at all the mac n cheese. And, AoD, please explain in the comments why you are laughing so hysterically at my happy purchase. This is actually a good story from when we were dating and he tells it better than me.

Oh man. Now I'm going to have to find my one and only Billy Joel CD. Tho, I would probably picked Tom Petty.

    BAG OF NINJAS!

OK, AoM and I were pretty much living together and we decided that since that was the case I should help out on some things. The first of which was a weekly shopping trip. Right after I got paid we went to the store to buy what we would need for the next week to two weeks.

Canned corn was on the list. AoM LOVES Nibblets. I know this now, but had no idea of it then. Well as luck would have it Nibblets were on sale for the unheard of price of 4/$1. She grew very excited at the prospect and immediately asked if we could stock up on them and buy like 8 or 12 cans. I was shocked by the level of excitement and agreed.

I really do tell this story better in person, but there it is.

I didn't get to see Movin Out. Sounds cool, though.

And, if we could grow Mac N Cheese, I'd be all over that!!!

Hoo boy....I was thinking today how Hot Rod, it sounds like, gets in the same kind of trouble my little brother did......and then I find out he loves mac and cheese, which my brother does as well (his biggest squabble with his wife is that she doesn't make it right!)

So AoKM and Ao(K)D....if you want a glimpse of your future.....
