Feel good story

I sense a made-for-TV movie or a Hallmark channel movie out of this one.

An autistic boy who served as the team manager for the varsity baseketball team gets to suit up at the last game and scored 20 points.

Get your hankies out and read the feel-good story.

Every once in a while, my faith in humanity is restored.

I defy anyone to read this magnificent story and then tell me they don't believe in God.

It also points up the reality that high school athletics is the last bastion of true, uncorrupted sport.

I've been involved with our local high school's football and basketball teams as a PA announcer for nearly 30 years, and when people asked me if I ever wanted to do it for college or the pros, they're perplexed when I say "no." It's this sort of thing that is the reason why.

It is a great story. I love to read things like this. I bet that is one happy teenaged boy!
