Army of Mom

So this is how liberty dies ... with thunderous applause.

Doesn't it piss you off, too?

When you get either an 800 call that shows unknown on the caller ID or it is some random company you've never heard of ... and then you pick it up fearing you've forgotten to pay someone and it is a bill collecter.

Then, they make the torture last a little while longer by having some recording telling you to please wait they have a very important phone call for *robot voice here* Armeee of Mahm *or some other way of butchering my name with said robot voice*.

Usually I hang up if there isn't a person there, but lately, my curiosity got the best of me and I waited to see what it was. One was the Dallas newspaper (which the last time I subscribed for three months, they just stopped delivering after a week) and the other was some cruise or time share or some other BS that I have no money for.

ARGH! I'm so getting my anonymous call block service added back on my line.

Heh, I've started answering the phone "This is Jenni" and then when they ask for some variation of my name I say that she's not here right now but that I'd be happy to take a message. LOL! Makes em go away every time! :)
