Happy Birthday Baby

She isn't much of a baby anymore - Stinkerbelle is 4 years old today. She has been counting down for the past two weeks. Every morning, she has woke me up with the countdown.

She has always had a mind of her own. She came two weeks early. It was a Friday night and I was up late putting up the Halloween decorations when the contractions started. Everyone was asleep and I called the doctor. My doctor wasn't on call that weekend, but his associate was. I talked to him and he said if the contractions were still there the next morning to call the hospital and come on in and he'd do my c-section and tie my tubes. So, about 5 a.m. I woke up my honey and we called my parents to drive up and stay with the kids. We left the house about 6:30 or 7 a.m. We had a baby before noon. I think it shook up my husband to actually see me in labor. He never witnessed that with our older son (and my eldest is with Uzz, my ex). So, he was probably the most freaked out that I've ever seen him (and it still wasn't real freaked out). He is just too composed for that. But, it was funny to see him speeding to the hospital as I was breathing through contractions.

But, she is here and calling it "Little Bit Day" for her birthday.

My baby is growing up. Beautifully, too.

Gorgeous picture. As if such a cute subject would give anything else.

    Happy Birthday, Miss Stinkerbelle.
On the actual Columbus Day, a proper date to remember (not that 3 day holiday weekend excuse).

And now, because it seems right, and pardon me if you've seen it before, but I simply must pull out a copy for you...

    If We didn't have Birthdays

    If we didn't have birthdays,
    you wouldn't be you.

If you'd never been born, well then what would you do?

If you'd never been born, well then what would you be?
    You might be a fish!
Or a toad in a tree!
    You might be a doorknob!
    Or three baked potatoes!

You might be a bag full of hard green tomatoes.

Or worse than all that . . .
Why, you might be a WASN'T!
A Wasn't has no fun at all.

    No, he doesn't.

    A Wasn't just isn't.
    He just isn't present.

But you . . . You ARE YOU!
    And, now isn't that pleasant!

She and Hot Rod can be a handful. Pickle is much more sedate most of the time.
