Army of Mom

So this is how liberty dies ... with thunderous applause.

Should I stay or should I go?

We spent Thursday night and all day Friday at sea and came into the port at Cozumel, Mexico, a little late on Sat. March 3.

We were greeted by gorgeous clear blue water, an overcast sky and the armed Mexican soldier guy.

Our ship, the Ecstasy, was docked next to the Fantasy (the only other ship I ever took a cruise on back in 2000 with Army of Dad out of Port Canaveral to Nassau, Bahamas. This time, it was out of New Orleans.

Looking up at the sky between the ships was magnificent. Then, on the way out of port that evening, the sunset was incredible. We could even see the Fantasy following on the ship's tale as we left.

Even with rough waters, I want to go on another cruise. I was able to relax so much on this one that it was almost addictive. We managed to take the stairs the majority of the time and we controlled our portions (for the most part! I only cheated a few times with some ice cream in between meals). I even managed to lose four pounds on the cruise.
More pics to come.

Rough waters?? The only rough waters we experienced were on the tender when we anchored off-shore of Cozumel around to Playa del Carmen. But that was because it was a smaller boat going pretty fast and just bouncing on the waves... all the beer i had the night before between Grand Cayman and there didn't help much either.
