A letter from the Easter Bunny

We had snow during the soccer game this morning.

Hot Rod had soaking wet feet when he got home from visiting my parents. He was having too much fun playing in the puddles with giant snowflakes coming down all around him.

And, we may get a freeze overnight. So, I'm not going to put the eggs outside for the kids to hunt this year. And, I'm not going to put them in the house tonight because all the eggs will be collected and the candy inside eaten before I ever get out of bed or before Pickle arrives home from his weekend with Uzz.

So, Army of Dad devised a scheme to cover all our bases. I got the eggs filled with goodies, money and candy and put them all in an giant laundry basket with the following letter attached:
Pickle, Hot Rod and Stinkerbelle,

It was too cold to put the eggs out this morning for you, so I left them all in a big basket for your mom and dad to hide the eggs INSIDE your house this morning after everyone has woken up. I didn’t want to disturb anyone and I knew Pickle wasn’t back from his dad’s yet and I wasn’t taking eggs to Uzz’s.

So, enjoy your Easter baskets and special treats there and you’ll get to hunt eggs in your house in a little while.

Happy Easter!

The Easter Bunny

The bunny always leaves a special goody in each child's Easter basket, so I put their baskets at their places at the dinner table. This will make for one weird Easter. But, praise God that he died for us and has risen. While coloring eggs tonight, both Hot Rod and Stinkerbelle were stoked at the Easter Bunny coming, but I was touched when Hot Rod said "That was really nice of Jesus to die for us." I thought that was pretty remarkable. Thank you, Jesus, for the blessings of forgiven sin and a wonderful, miraculous family.

Happy Easter everyone! May God Bless You today and always!

It's never warm enough here to hide anything outside. Hubby and I get up early in the morning and hide them around the house for everyone to find. Now that the two oldest are teens, it's gotten to be not so much fun, but we still have the little one (she'll be five in a week...yikes!) so it's fun for her. Gets harder and harder each year to find things to put in the older two's baskets because they've really outgrown stuffed bunnies and colored pencils and coloring books. LOL

Well, Pickle got a DVD in his basket, Hot Rod got a football action figure and Stinkerbelle got a stuffed lamb, so it worked out well. My mom sent my nephews the Eragon DVD - they're 17, 14 and 9 - so that was a good one for them.

    Happy Easter!
