Army of Mom

So this is how liberty dies ... with thunderous applause.

My daughter, the hair band rocker

Little Bit: Before with beautiful hair in April 2007

Little Bit: After giving herself an Eddie Van Halen 'do last week. I sort of feel like we should trade in our nice house for a trailer and I should buy her a John Cena shirt and give her a bottle full of Dr Pepper to drink. *sigh* It actually looks a little better now. A little.

She still looks adorable! I checked my scrapbook but didn't find it-- must be in the album Mom has... I cut my bangs when I was around 6 yrs. old. Mom has a pic of me and my brother holding our little turtles ("the" popular pet at the time).
There was no "fixing" me, with my stick-straight hair.
And hey, look at the bright side... no hair in the eyes or covering Little Bit's pretty face :-)

    OH no!
When Marina moved in (age 12)I noticed when doing her hair she had SHAVED her bangs off. Yes, SHAVED HER BANGS OFF. She's 14 now and they are finally grown back in.
How her mom and dad didn't notice this boggles the imagination.

I told my kids, "NO ONE cuts your hair but Auntie Kathy." So far, we have been lucky.

She's adorable, Mom, regardless of the self 'do. It could have been a LOT worse. When my daughter was about 3, her older brother got a buzz-cut at the barbers that he wanted 'cause his uncle had one. The wife and I hated it, but we complemented him on how great he looked to build up his little esteem. When I got home from the base that night, my wife was in tears - he had given his little sister the same 'do so she could "look pretty too!"

LMAO at submariner!!! And they are right she's still adorable and it could have been worse. I remember Mama telling Grannie to hide her scissors from me because I went through that faze also. Of course it didn't help that my mom was a beautician. I just wanted to cut hair too. Ask your Mom, she probably remembers my hair cuts too. Love ya, Dion.
