Sick and twisted
Everyone knew I was already. But, I got this little jolt (bad pun) when I heard that there was an explosion in Palo Pinto County this morning. Not because I was excited at the destruction, but because I did some media coaching of the county Emergency Management Director a few years ago. If it is the same guy, he is FINALLY going to get to use what I taught him and that was sort of exciting. This was the kind of thing I prepared him for.
Sick and twisted, I know.
On another twisted note, I finished second in the weblog awards after a strong start. Just like the way I run in real life, I lost momentum at the end and The Hole Card managed to get that end of the race burst that gave them the victory. My hat is off to you BlackJack and the Mrs.
Go congratulate them and tell them you know the secret that the Gravy Boat Veterans for Truth has on me. Kudos to my close third-place finisher, too, the chivalrous brothers at the Mazurland Blog.

Done in by a confederacy of dunces. Shame. Oh well, never underestimate the power of stupid people in a group.
As long as the game was fair, you were winning, so you're a winner in my book ;-)

Yeah, such is life. Both of the other blogs got the vote out at the end, too, so it may have been legitimate. *shrug* Doesn't matter. It was a very good lesson to teach me to bite my tongue. I brought it on myself.
