Army of Mom

So this is how liberty dies ... with thunderous applause.

Vote for Pedro

No, don't vote for Pedro. Vote for me.

I'm already behind. Went to vote this morning and one dude already has 11 votes to my measly one.

So, vote Chicago style - early and often!

Thank you.

Just a side note, finally got cold in Texas. Is only 26 degrees right now. We won't get out of the 30s later this week and we may get snow and sleet. Yippee!

it wouldn't let me post on these crappy school computers. But as soon as I get home, the votes will be rocked, and rocked they will be.

We have a high of 7 today, and I think we're supposed to have lows of something like -15, that withouth windchill mind you.

Nice blog! The thing I love about the Weblog Awards is being able to see some new sites.

Best of luck, to both of us!

I voted for you. You're comfortably ahead at the moment. And it's currently 1 above zero here, you wimp.

Question: Is there some sort of prize for this competition? Otherwise, why do you care so much? And, is it worth winning some faux competition when any victory comes as a result of shamelessly begging for votes? So, you get your readers to vote every day of the competition and perhaps win as a result - woo! Where's the joy in that? Now, I realize the competition might be doing some promoting as well, but this seems over the top. I mean, a story about the mammogram - with yet another "vote for me" tacked on the end - as if the post was so awesome that we must get you this crown ASAP. Nothing against the post, it was fine, I'm just saying that if you're going to grovel, maybe think about just doing that through the competition and skip the real postings.

Based on this nonsense, I have to assume there's some nice cash prize for "winning" ... otherwise who gives a rat's ass?

That's my guy sticking up for me.

Anon - I like to win, plain and simple. *shrug* Maybe it is a personality flaw, but it is the way I am. I like to win. Plus, in some random sense, it is a bit of validation. Don't vote if you want to or go visit some other blog on the list and see who you like and vote for them. Whatever, doesn't really bother me.

The word JACKASS also comes to mind.

    There's always one.

AoM: Could you repost a link to the proper category? All links seem to lead to the main page.

Quoting Professor Quirrell: There's a troll in the dungeon!

No worries guys. And, Gadfly, I hope I have it fixed. Don't know what the deal was with that. Thanks for voting for me.

I'm just curious -- does the "too cool for the room" crowd like the anonymous dude do anything other than try to piss on other people's fun? I'm having a blast and I'm guessing you are too, AOM.

AOM vs. Horrid Hordes of Hole Card. We don't even charge you PPV fees because we are cool like that.

Good luck, AOM, just not as good as mine.

    It should be this.

I dug through to find you, but a lot of people won't *hint hint*
