So this is how liberty dies ... with thunderous applause.

What in the world just happened?

Kasey Kahne got screwed Sunday at the Brickyard.

He crashed himself to keep from wrecking out into the Home Depot whiner Tony Stewart. That is pretty admirable. Sucky for his points standing as he drops from the Top 10 to 11th. I just wonder if Stewart will acknowledge it. He is always bitching about everyone screwing him. Hey, Tony, look what happened when someone was polite to you:

As Ricky Bobby's daddy once said to him: If you ain't first, you're last.

*sigh* So true. Or close to it. Kasey finished 36.

"I was trying to get in a battle with all those guys for position, sixth, seventh, eighth," Kahne said. "I had to block [Carl] Edwards and come back to Stewart. Trying to pass Stewart I got loose and then I just tried staying off Tony, I guess I ran into the wall.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Army of Dad gave me crap for giving Tony Stewart grief. He, too, voiced that Kasey just got loose in there doing what they were all doing - vying for the top 10. I do wish Nascar officials would have just ended the race and Kasey wouldn't have been doing at that the end. He could have maintained his position without launching himself into the wall like a preschooler amped up on caffeine.

I know there are no innocent drivers. But, I have to blame someone, don't I? Come on, who's with me?

Dammit. I want Kasey to finish above jillionth at some point in the points-chase.

    WAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!

Oh yeah, insert a Howard Dean yell at the end of my rant-comment there.

    Thank you. That is all.
