Army of Mom

So this is how liberty dies ... with thunderous applause.

Two decades, 20 years, half my life

Well, here it is. The list of our Class Reunion CD that will be the souvenir to commemorate the evening. The last song, well, I know it isn't from 1987, but it was a class song. Pretty funny, huh? All the preppy kids were pissed off at me because I voted for this. I thought it was pretty funny and an accurate representation of our concert T-shirt wearing class. I also voted for Beastie Boys' You Gotta Fight, too. I'm a rebel at heart. :) Maybe that is why everyone liked me from the athletes to the motorheads, the dorks and most of the cool people. I didn't really fit into any mold. I liked it that way, too.

1. I want your sex – George Michael
2. Here I go again – Whitesnake
3. Heart and soul – T-Pau
4. The lady in red – Chris DeBurgh
5. Head to toe – Lisa Lisa
6. Living on a prayer – Bon Jovi
7. Mony mony – Billy Idol
8. You’ve got the look – Prince
9. Land of confusion - Genesis
10. Control – Janet Jackson
11. With or without you – u2
12. Bad – Michael Jackson
13. Big time – Peter Gabriel
14. We’ll be together – Sting
15. The one I love – REM

16. Another brick in the wall – Pink Floyd

Another '87 Grad here.. I like the list (mine would have been subtly different, but oh well..), but what is Floyd doing at the end? Did someone in your class take an extra ten years to graduate or something?

I'm a 90 grad, but love your choices. I didn't fit in the mold, either, In fact, I still don't. I think it's liberating. Congratulations on being the same way. Enjoy your reunion!

Yikes! I'm not sure how T-Pau AND Lisa Lisa beat out INXS and the Cure, but the others are decent enough...not my cup of tea mind you...and knowing you, not yours either...but a nice cross section. Should have used Billboard's list instead of Wiki's.

Anon - that was pretty tacky.

And, yeah, trust me all the songs were not my selections. You can pretty much find me in there - REM, Sting, Chris DeBurgh and Peter Gabriel. But, I liked Bon Jovi back then, too.

anyway. The Pink Floyd song was our class song ... we liked the rebellious aspects of Another Brick in the Wall as our class song. :)

Yep, I remember dancing to Lady in Red at the prom. Not with my prom date, because he was too lame to dance!! With someone elses prom date! And I think Madonna should have totally made the list since she may be the only artist that I know every word to her songs! Still love to workout to Bon Jovi, it keeps me young! Ha! Ha!
