Army of Mom

So this is how liberty dies ... with thunderous applause.

Play by Play for FIL

Army of Dad's father is in Malaysia right now for work. So, no Vikings football for him. We're using the Google email chat feature and I'm giving him updates.

AoM: damn ... AP just pushed Al Harris down like a schoolyard bully! sat him on his bitch ass!!!!AP is taking it down the field
FIL: is that you AoM or AoD?

LOL ... I don't think he fully grasps my love of football. Big hits are big hits despite the team. I'm waiting for Darren Sharper to lay someone out. BOOM!

    LOL! What's a Vikes?

I look forward to seeing our baby QB have his first win this evening! (Damn you Favre!)

BTW - Your boyz looked good last night. Being in DC, it's a law - I have to hate them. Nothing personal. ;-)

Now back to your regularly scheduled game, already in progress....

It's a two way street. It wasn't all front office. The whole thing was handled very poorly from both sides. I'm not sure what I would have done in their shoes (both front office and Favre's).

As irritated as I am that he's playing for another team - thank god not for the Vikings - I enjoyed watching him play yesterday. The whole situation left a lot of us life long fans torn. I still wore my Favre Packers jersey to work today. I don't think I'll be buying a Jets jersey tho...

Yeah, the whole situation was weird. I had heard that Favre was essentially told he wouldn't be the QB this fall and that was what precipitated the retirement in the first place. *shrug* Who knows what really happened? Probably only Favre and the Packers staff. *shrugging again*

And, yeah, I have been a Favre fan since his rookie year. It was fun to watch what bits I saw of him for the Jets. I bet there is a run on Jets gear ... even if it isn't on you. :) LOL
