I'm still recovering from a weekend getaway full of fun and activities at
DeGray State Park near Hot Springs. We didn't take Pickle since he's not much of an outdoors kid and he'd been missing his dad. So, the little ones were loaded up, a Harry Potter audiobook was popped in the CD player and off we went up Interstate 30.
This was the view behind the lodge at the park. I'll have to post pictures of our view from the hotel. Beautiful. Army of Dad taught the kids how to skip stones, which they loved. I have so many cute pictures that I cute probably jam up the Internet with them all.

When we go to Hot Springs, we stay here, to enjoy the rustic feel.
Talking to the owner/manager, he tells stories about when his dad built the place.
