So this is how liberty dies ... with thunderous applause.

Winter wonderland

Last night, we gathered up the plants and firewood and were ready to go, but all we got was lots of rain. We went from about 80 around 4 p.m. to the 40s around 6:20 p.m. last night. Now, we have snow coming down and we're in the 20s. This is uber-cold when you're in Texas. Stinkerbelle wore a sundress and sandals to preschool yesterday!

The boys went to school this morning and now we have SNOW! Army of Dad stayed home from work because the commute can be absolutely evil when the weather is like this. Texans have no idea how to drive in these conditions and they'll do one of two things: either drive 5 mph even when it is safe to go faster or they drive like a bat out of hell and spin out on black ice.

I love Stinkerbelle wiping her grubby little peanut-butter laden fingers on my glass door. Grr. We tried to cover (bottom right) my most delicate blooming flowers in the front garden. I doubt they'll make it, though, since we're going to have freezing temps for about five days straight.

I just hope we get enough accumulation for the kids to sled down the driveway this afternoon. We'll see how it goes. It is coming down right now.

We're having similar weather here, but what I really wanted to say here was what a good looking house you have.

Thank you very much. I like our little house. A few things to fix up here and there and it will be pretty close to wonderful. ;)
