Cuz I Got A Badge, That's Why

For once, Dallas cops seem to have done something right. Apparently a cop was fired for making threatening phone calls to a school official.

Here, in our hometown (which I love for the most part), you can call and threaten residents and it doesn't matter. Army of Dad was threatened by a local cop for apparently not keeping me in line. I had the audacity to tell this police officer to stop yelling at a 12-year-old soccer referee while I was coaching Officer ButtNugget's little gem. The local soccer association made it clear that coaches are to keep their parents in line. As I told him to stop hassling the referee, the cop started puffing up and getting into my space and trying to intimidate me. Later, he called Army of Dad to pretty much tell him to keep me in line and then he threatened AoD for not backing down.

I sent a letter and made a call to the internal affairs office. Nothing. Nada. Zip. Zero. They don't care. Apparently, this guy can bully people all he wants to and the cops are going to give him commendations for doing a great job.

Little wonder I have so little respect for the men in blue. There are few - that I have found - that deserve it. And, before people start telling me how great they are, trust me, I know a lot of 'em. And, just like every group, there are good and bad. Just, from my lifetime of experiences, the rotten few (or not so few) spoil the whole batch.

Every time I deal with an a$$hat Dallas policeman (fortunately not too too often) I go home and watch this all over again.
It reminds me more about the type of some of these officers.

I still chuckle at that one.
